Our competent diet technicians assist in monitoring in-patients’ meals especially those on a therapeutic diet by ensuring appropriate nutritional therapy is carried out before diet intervention by dietitians is required.

Yi-Pei received her credential in dietetics from University of Putra Malaysia (UPM).She is currently the head of department in Dietetics & Nutrition Services, Sunway Medical Centre Velocity.

Besides her role in management, she is also a practicing dietitian who manages adults and pediatrics patients who need nutrition support, medical nutrition therapy and diet counseling with different health issues and diseases including weight management, cancer, kidney diseases and gastrointestinal related diseases.

In her previous practice, she managed particularly liver cirrhosis patients and also pediatrics patients with diabetes or liver diseases. She also conducted research with her liver transplant patients and presented her poster in international conference.

Yi-Pei also diligently participated in community projects which include workshops, write up for articles or newspaper and public health talks.

Jillian received her credential in BSc. (Hons) Degree in Food Science and Nutrition from UCSI University and further pursued her Master in Nutrition and Dietetics Practice at Bond University, Australia. She is currently a registered dietitian and a member of the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA). She’s also a provisional Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitian Australia.

She started her career in healthcare communications where she manages and coordinates a nationwide program targeting on childhood growth and nutrition. Currently, as a dietitian at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity, she provides diet counselling and nutrition education across different health issues including diabetes, renal diseases, cancer, weight management, paediatrics nutrition and patients who require nutrition support such as enteral and parenteral nutrition.

She’s committed to providing individualised nutrition care plans to support her patients throughout their health journey. She is also actively involved in foodservice and community projects, including conducting public health talks and articles write-up for publication.

Her special interest includes enteral and parenteral nutrition support as well as renal nutrition.

Woan Kin received her credential in Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with Honours from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is currently a registered dietitian and an active member of Malaysian Dietitian’s Association (MDA). She had published her research study “Consumers’ Intention to Purchase Healthful Foods and Beverages From Vending Machines in a Healthcare Institution: An Application of Theory of Planned Behaviour and Health Consciousness” in Malaysian Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences (MJMHS) and won the Best Pre-recorded Video Presentation at the 3rd Penang International Conference on Hospitality 2023(PItCH 2023).

As a clinical dietitian at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity, Woan Kin focuses on providing individualized diet counselling and evidenced-based medical nutrition therapy for patients with different conditions, including diabetes, stroke, kidney disease, cancer, weight management, post-surgery, gastrointestinal related diseases and others. She is also committed to provide nutrition support to patients who required enteral or parenteral nutrition.

Besides, Woan Kin is also actively engaging in community projects, including articles write-up for publication and conducting health talks. Her areas of interest include cancer nutrition, enteral and parenteral nutrition support.

Sing Ning received her credential in Dietetics from the International Medical University, Malaysia. She is a registered dietitian and an active member of the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA). During her studies, she presented research on “Continuing Professional Development (CPD): A Survey on Participation and Perception among Dietitians in Malaysia” at the 27th MDA National Conference 2022.

Currently, as a clinical dietitian at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity, she provides diet counselling, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition. She manages a wide range of health conditions, including diabetes, kidney diseases, cancer, weight management, paediatric iron deficiency anaemia, and picky eating.

Sing Ning is also involved in community projects, such as public health talks, social media interviews, and writing articles for publication. Her areas of interest include enteral and parenteral nutrition across all specialties and critical care.

Yu Fei received her credential in Dietetics with Honours from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Dietetics Student Award at the 30th Anniversary Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA) National Conference 2024. She also won first prize for her oral research presentation on “Factors Associated with the Risk of Sarcopenia Among Hemodialysis Patients” at the MDA National Conference 2023.

Currently, as a practising dietitian at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity, Yu Fei specialises in diet counselling, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition support, including parenteral and enteral nutrition. She manages patients with a wide range of health issues, including weight management, diabetes, cardiac disease, kidney disease, cancer, and post-surgery recovery. Her commitment to evidence-based practices ensures optimal care tailored to each patient’s specific needs.

Yu Fei is also actively engaged in health talks and article writing for publications. Her areas of interest include critical care, cancer nutrition, and surgical nutrition.
